Biography
Light creates excitement in photography. Good composition frames the light and creates a point of interest for a viewer. There may be a single point of interest or many. As long as a viewer is engaged, whether the image excites or relaxes, whether it offers calmness or tension, there is an exchange and relationship between the image and the viewer, the viewer and the maker. That is what's important, that relationship. Technical perfection is not necessary for an image to be a good one , but a maker needs to know how to use technical proficiency or lack of it to connect with the viewers. Technically inferior, by intent or accident, images may actually be powerful. If there is just technical superiority, an image may be utterly boring and unattractive, inconsequential.
When there is a connection and emotion, image succeeds.
