Capturing the Wild: From Africa to Your Backyard

A wildlife photography seminar by George D. Lepp
Wednesday October 26, 2016

   7:30 – 9pm

Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto

Join award-winning nature photographer and author George Lepp on a photo-safari to wildlife-abundant, dramatic destinations across the continents!
In this program, George will share his best tips and strategies for successful and unique wildlife photography in exotic and local environments. He’ll help you to solve problems you’ve experienced in your wildlife photography, such as shooting from unstable platforms (boats and open vehicles, planes and hot-air balloons) and capturing in low-light conditions. He’ll introduce some new techniques for portraying wildlife in action, and he’ll offer reliable and creative approaches to working with large mammals, marine mammals, flying birds, and macro subjects—such as tide-pool residents and butterflies—even in the most challenging situations.

“Capturing the Wild” will interest photographers of all levels using digital equipment ranging from advanced point-and-shoots to professional DSLRs. And anyone who loves wildlife or travel to wild places will enjoy the splendid images and compelling stories featured in this program.
