From the artist's statement placard:

"In this work, I exhibit some of my photographs that feature plays of light and dark – through strong backlights, heavy contrasts, overlapping reflections, fluid flow patterns, long exposures and lens movements. Often utilizing unconventional compositions or over-the-top color editing, I attempt to create elusive images for curious eyes to dive in.

Reception: I will be discussing these works at Philz Coffee on Sat., Feb. 28th 2:30pm to 5:00pm.

About the artist: My name is H. Doğuş (“dowUsh”) Akaydın. I was born and raised in Turkey. I moved to New York City in 2006 for graduate school and then to the Bay Area in 2012 for work. You can check my other works at www.flickr.com/akaydin
