Etz Chayim Synagogue in Palo Alto

Date:
Thru Sept 2014

Member Ira Greenberg has curated and mounted an exhibit on the theme of Trees, now on display at his synagogue in south Palo Alto (Etz Chayim, 4161 Alma St, MAP). Of interest, the Hebrew name of the synagogue stands for 'tree of life'.  Ira invited entries from members of the congregation, and selected, printed, framed and mounted 10 prints along with an introductory panel in the main hallway at the synagogue. Among the prints are two by member Dan Hartford. An opening reception was held on Mar 14, 2014. The show will run thru Sept 2014.

Sample images below, from left to right are:

  • 'Foggy Hike in Russian Ridge' (Alan Kushnir)
  • 'Let There Be Light' (Ted Goldstein, PhD)
  • 'Winter Cottonwoods' (Dan Hartford)
  • 'Sentinels in the Storm' (Barbara Marcum)

Interested club members are encouraged to view the exhibit during weekday hours of Mon thru Thurs, between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm.
