This contest, organized by the Palo Alto Art Center, the Palo Alto Weekly, and the Weekly’s sister publication, The Six Fifty, has just announced acceptances for the 2019 competition. There were 830 entries, of which about 32 prints will be on exhibit.
Five of the prints included in the exhibition were from four members of PACC - Nadine Levin,  Mark Gerow, Laurie Naiman, and Jim Colton (2).
The titles and categories of one image from each maker are shown below, clockwise from top left:Â
- Nadine Levin: Â Laundry Day in a Japanese Village (Travel)
- Mark Gerow:Â Moon over Tree (Nocturnal)
- Laurie Naiman: Â Hitchcock's Fork (Abstract -- First Place)
- Jim Colton: Denali at Dawn (Natural Landscape)  [Also in the exhibition: Hanging Out in Havana (Travel)]
Reception: Â Palo Alto Art Center, Thursday, May 23, at 6 pm. All are welcome to attend.
There will be an article about the winners of the exhibition and their images in the Palo Alto Weekly (paper and online editions) and also in The Six Fifty, a sister publication of PA Weekly.
For those who are curious about the 2018 winners, here's a link to the article from the PA Weekly (June 8, 2018) where member Ken Fowkes was awarded first prize in the Abstract category. Other members in that exhibition included Jennifer Fraser, Allan Colby and Laurie Naiman.

The exhibition will run from May 21 to June 23.
