Joys and Passions of Night Photography

Special Program
with Harold Davis and Steven Christenson

Wednesday, 22 August, 2012

Digital photography has opened a whole new era in terms of the possibilities of night photography---but many aspects of night photography still require a great deal of specialized preparation, knowledge, and patience. In this presentation, renowned night photographers and teachers Steven Christenson and Harold Davis will share their imagery and explain the secrets of successful night photography.

Mr. Christenson’s presentation will include information about how best to choose locations for photography of the night sky, and how to integrate astronomical and photographic information for the most stunning results. Mr. Davis will discuss his entire RAW workflow, and conclude with a presentation of some of his handmade prints.

The presentation will be followed with ample time for Q&A.
